The Lobster

The Lobster is Science- Fiction and Romantic Drama Hybrid. It was released in 2015 and was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, a greek director who has done a number of unusual phycological drama's. This film follows themes of love, trust and deception three things that go hand in hand when encountering a romantic relationship, which is essentially what this film is about. the concept of this film is about a dystopian society where you have a specific time limit to find your soul mate, but if you don't succeed you get another chance at love as the animal of your choice.

This unusual linear narrative links well to the science fiction genre.
